How does the free trial work?
Sign up with no credit card. You get 14 days of Protect-level access with 200 publish checks and 50 AI checks. Install on Drupal, WordPress, or any CMS via the REST API. Your audit trail and configuration carry over if you subscribe. Start your free trial.
How does usage pricing work?
Plans include a baseline number of publish checks per month. If you exceed it, you add a monthly usage block (Core: +1,000 checks, Protect: +2,000 checks). No surprise overages.
How does the early access discount work?

What are Compliance Packs?
Compliance Packs are add-ons that extend your audit log retention to meet the evidence requirements of specific regulatory frameworks. The HIPAA Compliance Pack provides 6-year retention. The Financial Services Compliance Pack provides 7-year retention. Both include a compliance evidence export. Available on Protect and Managed plans. CMMC and FedRAMP packs are in development.
Can I add a Compliance Pack to Core?
Not currently. Compliance Packs require the Protect or Managed plan because regulated organizations typically need the custom prohibited terms, enforcement thresholds, and full audit log UI that Protect provides. If Core with extended retention fits your needs, contact us and we can discuss it.
Does PillarShield write or rewrite content?
No. PillarShield does not generate, rewrite, or edit content. It governs whether content is allowed to be published and records the decision.
What happens when AI checks are uncertain?
You control the certainty threshold. Below it, AI checks advise (warn). Above it, they block. Deterministic rules (PII, credentials, prohibited terms) always block regardless. If the AI service itself fails, it never blocks. Only deterministic rules block in a failure scenario.
Is our content used to train AI models?
No. Content evaluated by PillarShield is not used to train any AI models. PillarShield uses AI strictly for transient evaluation at the publish boundary. Model providers are accessed via APIs that do not use submitted data for training.
Do you store or expose prompts?
No. Internal prompts, policy logic, and directives are never shown in the product UI or in any customer-facing materials.
What CMSes are supported?
Drupal (live, module in the Drupal project directory), WordPress (built, in review for the WordPress plugin directory), and any CMS that can make an HTTP POST via the enterprise REST API.
What is on-premises deployment?
On Managed and Enterprise plans, you can run the PillarShield governance engine on your own infrastructure using your own AI models. Content never leaves your network. Only audit metadata (decisions, timestamps, content hashes) is transmitted to PillarShield for dashboard access, compliance reporting, and retention. See the setup guide.
Why are Managed checks unlimited?
Managed and Enterprise customers run governance on their own infrastructure and AI models. Since the compute cost is theirs, we don't meter checks. Your subscription covers audit log storage, retention, compliance packs, the portal, executive reports, and managed policy services.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. You can move between plans at any time.
